The bottom of the barrel shootout

near beer competition

While this site focuses on high quailty, near craft beer equivalents, we also compare some of the lower end near beers. The hottest part of the year is here in California and temps of 105F + have me wanting to slug cheap near beers like theres no tomorrow. Imagine the non alcoholic alternative of your college days, when everyone argued over what was a better use of $7.99, a case of Natural Light or a case of Keystone Light. Think about a beer you’d want to drink six of while performing a menial task like digging a fencepost. Better yet, think of beers you’d drink while fishing, sitting on a pontoon boat, or shooting trap (because we all know drinking alcoholic beers and firearms DO NOT MIX).

ENTER THE CHALLENGERS

Both Old Milwaukee NA and Busch NA can both adequately be put in any of the aforementioned categories. They do meet three distinct criteria in my opinion.

They both cost less than $10 dollars for a 12 pack

They both come in cans (a must for cheap beer)

They both PAIR WELL WITH BOTH DITCH DIGING AND FIREARMS
